If you are selling to customers worldwide, one of the ways to improve conversions (read increase sales) is to display prices in the local currency of the visitor. Shopping carts don’t provide this function out of the box, so how do we do this?
The answer is, by using a geoIP database like Maxmind we could identify the location of the visitor reliably and then show the prices in local currency. As you could see the same technique could be used to offer various location specific or personalized services to the visitor.
